A plan for the first 4 weeks, and turning knowledge into money: online sessions, webinars, and ebooks

Four weeks are not for scaling. They are for finding what sells in your market — then the brand’s knowledge becomes an ebook and a list that is yours.

TikTok Shop, Instagram, and your own online sessions are not three separate channels. They are one path: short video attracts, LIVE and a webinar build trust, the shop closes the sale, and an ebook turns the brand’s knowledge into its own product and into a contact list you hold regardless of the algorithm. The first 4 weeks are not for scaling — they are for finding what works in the country you sell in. You scale only what has been measured.

Sales trends worth keeping in mind

  • —Social commerce is a full sales channel where Shop is open. The purchase closes inside the app, with the payment methods and carriers of that country. Who can buy, and which methods are offered, are set per market — check them in Seller Center instead of assuming another country’s checkout.
  • —An interest graph instead of a friend graph. TikTok and Reels show content to strangers based on what they watch — a small profile can sell if the content hits an interest.
  • —Social search. More people, especially younger ones, look for products on TikTok and in Reels instead of a search engine. Say the keywords in the video, in the viewer’s language, and put them in the caption — that is video SEO.
  • —Authenticity over polish. Algorithms judge the account as a whole and its consistency, not a single viral.
  • —LIVE commerce is growing as a selling format — on TikTok Shop and in Instagram lives.
  • —Cross-border selling where the platform offers it. In the European Union, Sell Across Europe lets one registration list an offer on other EU markets where Shop operates. Labels and the law follow the destination country. Other regions have their own rules — do not copy an EU setting into a market that does not have it.
  • —Knowledge as a product. Information is free, but people pay for selection, context, an expert’s experience, and a clear path to the goal.

A plan for the first 4 weeks

Week 0 — preparation (before launch)

  • —Company and product documents complete for the country you are registering in, Seller Center registration, brand and category authorization. Details: TikTok Shop — registration and categories.
  • —Pick 3–5 hero products; cards with several photos, a video, a description, and stock.
  • —Logistics: the local carrier, a returns policy, a sample-packing process.
  • —A bank of 15–20 recorded videos across 4–5 content pillars, in the language of the market.
  • —A lead magnet: a simple ebook or PDF checklist, and a sign-up page.

Week 1 — launch and content tests

  • —1–2 videos a day on TikTok, the same ones as Reels on Instagram.
  • —Test 3–5 hooks on product 1; test new hooks on Instagram with Trial Reels.
  • —A first short LIVE (30–45 min) — the goal is to get used to the format, not a sales record.
  • —Announce a free online session or webinar for week 3; collect sign-ups.
  • —KPIs: 3-second retention, product clicks, first orders, list sign-ups.

Week 2 — turn affiliates on

  • —Open Collaboration on the hero products; refundable samples on 1–2 products, where that option exists.
  • —A creator brief based on the best videos from week 1.
  • —2 LIVE streams with a concrete offer (a set, a time limit).
  • —Copy the winning hooks onto the next products.
  • —KPIs: creators who added the products, LIVE conversion, cost to acquire an order.

How Open, Target, and TAP differ, and when to send samples, is in From your own content to affiliates.

Week 3 — selection and a selling session

  • —Target Collaboration with free samples for 20–50 creators who fit best.
  • —Spark Ads on the 2–3 best videos (yours or a creator’s).
  • —Your own online session or webinar (45–60 min): useful substance plus a special offer for attendees, available for 48 hours.
  • —After the session: the recording and an ebook for people who signed up, then a sequence of 3–4 emails.
  • —KPIs: creator post rate after samples, webinar sales, return on Spark Ads.

Week 4 — review and scale

  • —Review the KPIs: which products, hooks, creators, and formats sell.
  • —The best creators: a higher commission, more samples, a steady rhythm. Inactive ones: no more samples.
  • —A decision: your own affiliate specialist, or a TAP agency with status for your market.
  • —Launch a paid digital product (ebook or mini-course) for the list collected in weeks 1–3.
  • —A plan for month 2: the next seasonal peak in your country, a LIVE calendar, gift sets. Build into the margin that a promotional platform commission ends — the date is in Seller Center, and it is not the same in every market.

Your own online sessions as a sales channel

A webinar, a closed LIVE, or an online “coffee” is one of the best-converting formats right now — people buy from a person they just saw and asked a question. A few rules:

  • —The topic is the customer’s problem, not the product. “How to build a routine for this season in 3 steps,” not “Meet our new line.”
  • —80% value, 20% offer. The attendee should leave with something they can use even without buying.
  • —An offer only for attendees, with a clear deadline — a set, a bonus, a consultation.
  • —Promote it on TikTok and Instagram — short videos with a piece of the knowledge and an invite, sign-ups through the link in bio.
  • —Recycle — the recording cuts into 10–20 short videos, and the substance becomes the base of an ebook.

Ebooks: how to charge for knowledge and give it value

An open notebook, a pen, and coffee on linen — a simple ebook as a knowledge product.

An ebook is the simplest digital product: you make it once, you sell it many times, and there is no warehouse. It is also a good test — before you build a full course, an ebook or a webinar shows whether the topic actually interests people.

How to give knowledge value:

  • —A concrete result in the title — “Combination-skin care in 21 days,” not “Everything about skin.”
  • —Selection and structure — the customer pays because you chose what matters and put it in a plan.
  • —Your experience — the back room, the lab, customer stories, mistakes you have already made.
  • —Tools for action — checklists, tables, a day plan, a calendar.
  • —Bundles — an ebook plus a checklist plus the webinar recording sells better than a PDF alone, because the customer sees a complete solution.

A three-level model:

  1. 01A free ebook or checklist as a lead magnet (collects emails from TikTok and Instagram).
  2. 02A paid ebook at an impulse price for your market, as the first purchase.
  3. 03A premium webinar, a course, or a consultation for the most engaged.

Where to sell. Sell digital products through your own shop or a creator platform (settlement in your currency, the file sent automatically), and treat TikTok and Instagram as traffic — link in bio, LIVE, online sessions. Digital products are not allowed in TikTok Shop itself.

What to watch. The biggest challenge for digital-product creators is not making the product — it is conversion. In a 2026 study of the online-course market, nearly half of creators named conversion as the main problem, and three quarters still rely on a one-off sale of a single product. Design the whole path: content, then sign-up, then a session, then an offer, then the next purchase.

Summary

Short video attracts, LIVE and a webinar build trust, the shop closes the sale of goods, and an ebook turns knowledge into a product and into a list you hold regardless of the algorithm or of one country’s Shop. You scale only what these four weeks measured.
